Manning Up

True story about male rape - single TV drama in development with Blazing Griffin

The true story of a  22 year old lad who was brutally raped by two male strangers. Denied justice, consumed with shame and robbed of his sense of manhood, the trauma nearly broke him. Trapped by toxic ideas about masculinity that meant he had to 'man up' and cope on his own, he had to rebuild his idea of what a man can be by learning to speak out - fighting back by becoming a spokesman for male survivors of sexual assault.

Currently in development with director/writer Kelly Holmes, writer Chris Lindsay, and Head of TV at Blazing Griffin - Lizzie Grey
